Here's the latest AP article on the Bush Guard records.
The White House initially declined to open up Bush's National Guard record, saying that lingering questions about his service during the Vietnam War were asked and answered when he ran for president. Then, late Friday, a two-inch stack of his military records were released with a thud....
In response to questions about Bush's National Guard service, particularly during a brief stint in 1972 and 1973 when he was assigned to a unit in Alabama, the White House on Friday released papers from his military file. They show a glowing recommendation for promotion to 1st lieutenant in 1970 and exemplary performance evaluations from his commanders at Ellington Air Force Base in Texas.
Among other records released is one indicating Bush had a dental exam at a National Guard base in Alabama on Jan. 6, 1973.

But the records provided no evidence Bush served in Alabama....
Earlier this week, the White House for the first time released payroll records it said proved Bush served in Alabama.
Those records, which were not included in the documents released Friday, showed Bush was paid for 25 days of service during the one-year period in question - most of them in 1973. He was not paid for any service during a more than five-month period in 1972, from April 17 to Oct. 27.
